Digiweb launch free student hosting and domain name offer

Digiweb are offering all third Level students in Ireland the opportunity to sign up for a free student hosting and domain name package worth €56.83. The offer applies to all thirrd level students, postgrads, teaching or research staff, and lecturers. The package will give students the opportunity to create their own web site, set up a personalised e-mail address, develop web applications, publish photos and even create their own blog. Commenting on the announcement, Emma O’Hare, marketing co-ordinator stated, ‘we are delighted to give third level the students the chance to develop online projects. The growth of online networking sites such as Bebo and MySpace as well as the increasing number of blogs has meant that students are developing their social and educational environment online as well as offline. Signing up for the offer is really simple, all students have to do is go to www.digiweb.ie/studentoffer/, choose a domain name and fill out there details .’ Dan King, hosting manager said: "This initiative is already proving a successful with nearly 1,000 students signing up for the student offer already." |
